The impacts of urban decline on the human and physical environment.
When urban decline occured, the physical enviroment of the Pyrmont-Ultimo area was basically empty and dead. The area had gone into urban decay. Warehouses were left empty and demolished. The ports were no longer in use. People had moved into the surburban area. Overall, urban decline had a negative impact in the area.
The human environment unfortunatley was no better. From 19000 people, the population had dropped down to just 1590 people. This occured because as industries moved to surburban areas, jobs became harder to find as there was less people looking for workers. Overall, urban decline had a negative impact in the area.
